Sunday, (my birthday), I had a problem with my blood sugar and ended up going to the ER. BS was 40. They gave me some IV fluid and juice. Went to clinic Monday and Tuesday. They have taken me off the sugar med. They think maybe I won’t need the med now. We go back to clinic Friday. The plan is then to do clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays. Appetite is improving. I’m still cold all the time, but guess that will correct itself.

Blood work looking good. Did get a liter of fluid today. Eating more and will be finishing up a couple meds. Go back to clinic Friday. Friday they will let me know if I can cut down to 2 days of clinic. Hope so.

Not much new going on. Had clinic today, chest xray and my once a month breathing treatment. The doctor did change my glucose med and decrease another one. BP low today 107/64. Cloudy today, but no rain. Have clinic again Wednesday.

Hi. WEll, things still looking good for the transplant. I did get some plain IV fluids today, as I have not been drinking enough. Days 60-100 after transplant you can be released from the program. Maybe another 2-3 weeks? Go to clinic Monday for chest xray, blood work and to see the dr.

hi. Had to go to clinic today to have dr checkout where the cath was pulled. It bled a little, but looks good. Blood work was good today, so no IV fluids. Eat and excercise. I still have no appetite and my abdomen is bruised and sore. It will have to wait till tomorrow.
My fingernails have grown really long..think I’ll cut them today, have never had long nails before.
No other news from here. Have to go to clinic tomorrow, no blood work, just keeping an eye on things.

Hi. Well, we had a long day at the clinics and hospital. Went over for my chest xray. The catheter did not give a blood return in any of the ports. They put TPA in the lines and let it sit for 4 hrs….one line did have a flashback.. Dr. sent me over to vascular radiology at the hospital and they pulled the cath! My Dr. felt that it wasn’t worth trying to replace it, since it is used only for blood draws and IV if I need something. I am so glad that is gone.
Changed a couple prescriptions and got home here around 6pm. I am exhausted. Have to go back to clinic tomorrow for Dr to check this all out. Hopefully, we will have a much shorter day than today, and maybe not have to go back till Friday.

Cold here this morning…50. Had to get magnesium by iv again today. She also up the mg pills from 2 to 3 daily. That is about the only electrolyte still out. Other blood work looks great. Will start back again for clinic M,W,F next week. Not much else changes. Have a good weekend.

Had yesterday off. Did the usual, take pills, walk, etc. Clinic today was all messed up. Computers down, orders not right….my blood work looks very good…chemistries are coming back into the normal range. Did get some magnesium today. Things look good. I go again Friday. A beautiful spring day here, not as hot. Catch you Friday.

Hi. Spent 4 hours at the clinic today. Had to take the shuttle over to the other clinic for the weekly chest xray. Had to get some magnesium and potassium. They were slow at the clinic today, and probably waited over an hour for them to hang the meds. Dr. says things looking good for 39 days after transplant. My appetite was a little bit better today…still losing weight…or fluid. Hot here today, in the low 90’s. Broke a record for being this hot in October. We only have clinic Wed and Fri. this week, so maybe we can sleep in a bit in the am.

Not much new here. Was a hot day, in the low 90’s. Slept in this am. Went grocery shopping, took a walk, watched a couple movies. Just kinda chilled. Tomorrow we go back to the clinic. I usually have to have a chest xray on Mondays also. I think my appetite this weekend was a little bit better. Hopefully, this week I will get some more energy. More tomorrow.
